The Infrastructure Talent Pipeline (TP) is a group of 12 Taranaki businesses that have partnered with Taranaki Futures to get active in supporting youth into the infrastructure industry. Member companies cover the full range of disciplines for the sector, and include:

The Infrastructure sector is about building and connecting cities – it is much more than road repairs and lollipop stop-go sticks. There is a range of occupations, and the sector has a prosperous future with job growth forecast.

Thanks to partner New Plymouth District Council who have created this excellent video that shows the range of infrastructure pathways.

Taranaki Futures and the Talent Pipeline have partnered to offer students unique opportunities to experience what it is like to work in the Infrastructure sector.

Gateway is an established programme supported by the Tertiary Education Commission and available to secondary school students via their school. Taranaki Futures works to bring together interested students who are supported through school, to be part of a Talent Pipeline placement. Individual students must be enrolled at a secondary school to participate.

While on the programme students will earn NZQA credits as part of the approved Connexis Gateway package and gain hands-on experience at TP organisations.
