Sandra Lichtwark

Sandra has been married for 35 years. She has 4 adult children and 3 grandsons. Born and bred in Rahotu, Sandra moved to New Plymouth in 1972 went to St Joseph’s Primary School and Scared Heart Girls' College. Whanau has always been important to Sandra and she has supported family members whenever needed. Sandra worked in farming when she left school has had a variety of other jobs over the years. Nurturing those who need support is Sandra's passion. Her dad always said that NO is not an option when it comes to learning. When she used to say "I can’t" he replied "Careful Attention Needed To Learn"! Sandra says, "No one is perfect but to say you have tried your best is an achievement itself".

Her interests are crosswords, fishing and spending quality time with her whanau and friends.

Wendy Devine

Wendy has 25 years of experience working within the diverse landscape of tertiary education, targeted government training programmes and industry training. She has worked at a regional and national level with alternative education initiatives via government funded programmes allowing the opportunities to work alongside secondary schools, polytechnics and private training establishments and employers.

Wendy is currently working with Engineering Taranaki Consortium (ETC). Wendy sees her role with Taranaki Futures as a natural extension of her role with ETC. She shares the aspirations, values and commitment of Taranaki Futures Trust, advisors and partners.

Sarah Lee

Accelerator Coordinator

Sarah Lee has been involved in recruitment for 18 years. She believes that all local people can hope for satisfying and productive employment in Taranaki.

Recently, Sarah was the driving force behind Step Up Taranaki - where she got the whole region dancing. Step Up filming, set to iconic Taranaki song Poi E, took place over 18 months. While the project was a coup in itself - the world's largest choreographed dance video - Sarah made cross-sector contacts and connections that make her the ideal person to lead Accelerator 2017. 

Sarah is hoping to place over 80 young people into work place mentoring in 2017. If you would to get involved, please contact her. 

Mary Wilson

Mary has been contracted to assist with education/employer engagement.

Mary has extensive experience working with people of all ages in roles of; Tutor, Work Placement Coordinator, Apprenticeships and as Gateway advisor throughout the region.  She then worked as a Youth Coach and Coordinator before taking up a role as Industry Training Advisor.

Mary was proud to complete extramurally, a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies through Massey University, and more recently a Certificate in Te Ara Reo Maori.

She looks forward to supporting trainees in their learning and seeking pathways into work experience and employment.

Warwick Foy

Warwick has been involved with Taranaki Futures from the beginning through his previous role as the Head of Student Pathways at Inglewood High School.  He believes that all young people in Taranaki deserve clear and relevant career information to guide them into reaching their employment potential. Warwick works with the Taranaki community to improve alignment between education and employment. 

You will see Warwick out and about as he builds strong links with employers, secondary schools, tertiary providers and students. 

An experienced teacher, Warwick has worked in a range of secondary school subject areas and careers information and guidance.
